The brief

The purpose of this PIN is to notify the market of the Department for Education's (DfE) intention to undertake a procurement exercise to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to provide support for the ongoing work in the North Liverpool and South Sefton area.

We need a supplier to support vulnerable children and families in North Liverpool and South Sefton to improve attendance and reduce exclusions from schools.

Through this work we aim to enhance capacity for early help/intervention, focusing particularly on: A. those at or at risk of meeting the persistent absence threshold; B. those who are at significant risk of educational disengagement; C. enhancing the attendance strategy and capacity within schools.

The project will provide support to an identified caseload through the following routes: - FaceTime / telephone calls, doorstep contact - School liaison with inclusion leads - Parent packs - activities for the family with a focus on emotional and mental wellbeing Provide additional support to Sefton and Liverpool councils for attendance and aims to support by: - providing additional capacity to the services deliverers; - help identify and support those at risk of statutory intervention Provide additional support to schools in relation to the project.

The service is to be delivered before the end of the financial year 2021/22 with evidenced impact.

Ahead of commencing any future procurement, we wish to engage with the market to outline our requirements and explain how potential bidders may ready themselves for any procurement process that may follow.

The event will also provide an opportunity for potential bidders to ask questions regarding the draft requirements.

This online early market engagement event for interested parties will be held on 15/12/2021 between 1330hrs and 1430hrs.
