VRU - London A&E In-Hospital Youth Work Service The VRU is seeking to procure an in-hospital youth work service to work within five Accident and Emergency Departments (A&E) departments in London hospitals - Lot 1 - Croydon University Hospital A&E Lot 2 - University Hospital Lewisham A&E and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital A&E Lot 3 - Newham University Hospital A&E Lot 4 - The Whittington A&E This will take the form of youth workers embedded within each hospital's A&E department, who will then engage with young people aged 11-25 presenting at the specified A&E departments with an violence related injury or suspected to be affected by violence or at risk of exploitation.

In-hospital youth work services will then support the young person into longer-term non-hospital-based services, either statutory or community based, that may support in a range of areas such as employment, education, housing or mental health.
