Group Heat Pump Purchase Scheme - Market Engagement
In line with its commitment to taking action on climate change, Essex County Council (ECC) through its Essex Climate Action Commission (ECAC), has recommended to 'Retrofit across the whole housing stock by 2040, introduce an incentive to accelerate the shift to low carbon heating solutions.'. with the Commission seeing a critical role decarbonising the housing stock and heat with electric heating a key piece to the puzzle.
In view of the above, ECC is keen to explore opportunities to provide collective heat pump purchasing schemes for residents via a contracted managing agent.
The contracted managing agent will handle customer service, provide trusted installer(s) with capacity for large scale roll out of heat pumps, and furnish ECC with an extensive reporting system.
