The brief

The Council is seeking one organisation to provide a Carers Support Service across West Northamptonshire.

The Council is committed to the delivery of high-quality adult social care services such as support for Carers in West Northamptonshire.

The Council wishes to work in partnership with a Provider who can demonstrate and maintain quality standards in line with the Council's Service Specification, which is in line with the Care Act 2014.

The Provider will establish a culture of enabling support and empowering Carers to maintain their own health and wellbeing and ensure the Service is aligned to the strategies of the commissioning partners and support the outcomes of carers in West Northamptonshire.

The Service will have delegated authority to undertake the Council's statutory duties for Carers as described in The Care Act 2014 and young carers Children and Families Act (2014).

The Service will also adhere to and promote the Equality Act 2010 - What do I need to know as a Carer Furthermore, the Provider will deliver the Service in line with all applicable Government and Council updates, guidance and policies regarding Carers and Young Carers.
