The Big House Project (the "Project") has been distributing funding to local businesses for the last 3-years.
This has been achieved by providing a tailored support programme for the Creative and Digital Industries (CDI) sector in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire (D2N2).
The programme is part-funded by a £2.5 million contribution from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and from the Creative Local Growth Fund programme, funded by Arts Council England.
The aim of the Project is to help creative and digital businesses to grow and to support the creation of new jobs.
The Project supports start-ups, new entrepreneurs and established SMEs looking to expand and bring new products and services to market.
Derby Theatre is one of Project delivery partners, along with the University of Derby, Nottingham Trent University - The Hive, New Art Exchange, CQ, Derby QUAD and NBV Enterprise Solutions.
Derby Theatre's element of the Project is also called Big House and is delivered by a group of theatres known as 'In Good Company'.
We anticipate a significant number of our customer SMEs will be looking to develop in the performing arts sector.
The successful Suppliers will work with aspiring start-ups, budding entrepreneurs and established businesses to help them grow, flourish and create jobs.
The focus will be on creative and digital businesses, specialising on those working in the performing arts, in the D2N2 area.
These customers can also be signposted to other support available through partner programmes, to make sure they get the specialist support they need.
