The brief

Rykneld Homes Ltd (RHL) working with, and on behalf of, North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Licensed Asbestos Contractor to undertake Asbestos removal and remediation services using best practice and overall value for money principles.

To provide licensed and non-licensed Asbestos Removal services (planned and responsive) within void and tenanted properties, throughout the district of North East Derbyshire.

The successful contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the allocated works, including; notifications, design, planning, appointments, method statements, risk assessments and all associated CDM requirements to regulatory standards.

Rykneld Homes is seeking a contractor to deliver the asbestos removal work that will be required as part of general repairs and refurbishment works to void and occupied properties.

The contract length is for 2 years, with an option to extend for 1+1years (dependant on performance) All contractors must have a licence issued by the HSE to undertake licensable work with asbestos.

This must be a 3-year licence.

Tenders will not be accepted from bidders that cannot provide evidence of a 3 year licence.
