This procurement exercise for This Way 4 English (TW4E) (the "Services") was conducted as a General Further Competition ("Further Competition") under the Electronic Market Place (EMP) Ref: KMCAS-216; Kirklees Welcomes Assisting Vulnerable Migrants, Asylum Seekers and Refugees (the "EMP").
Kirklees Council in collaboration with the TW4E delivery partner will work across services, learning providers, employment support providers to develop a robust coordinated ESOL offer.
This is to ensure those who need to start their ESOL journey or develop their English languages skills further to a point where they can connect with their neighbours, local networks and groups, access services independently and importantly progress on to further learning and gain employment.
The estimated value of the Services to be awarded is approximately £165k per annum.
The anticipated commencement date for the Call-off Contract(s) is 1st April 2025.
The anticipated expiry date for the Call-off Contract is 31st March 2027, with the option to extend by one (1) x twelve (12) month period to 31st March 2028 subject to grant funding being available.
The funding for refugee and asylum seeker support is all from external Government grants.
Currently, funding is received from the Department of Levelling Up, Communities and Housing (DLUHC) to support refugee resettlement programmes, such as Afghan Relocation Scheme, UK Resettlement Scheme and the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
