The brief

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) are seeking a Microsoft Certified Partner with the capability and capacity to build an intranet on SharePoint Online to deliver a new and improved branded corporate organisation-wide Intranet for approximately 2500 internal users for both organisations.

The end product will include content targeted to users depending on their host organisation, which is easier to find (navigation and search), and a devolved authorship model which allows directorates to take greater control and ownership of their own content.

Other essentials: - Reflect the distinct but related brands of GMCA and GMFRS for individual users. - Target appropriate content to different audiences. - Be compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, wherever possible, within the boundaries of the platform (and for non-compliances to be listed to support our accessibility statement). - Be intuitive, usable, and accessible on both desktop and mobile devices. - Be able to be edited using a built-in content management system (CMS) for internal users. - Contain a people directory/user profile, for all employees. - Act as a gateway to corporate systems. - Be a platform for latest internal news / organisational updates / events. - Have an excellent search functionality that includes the Corporate Document Centre (CDC) (this is a SharePoint Online site built on our environment). - Provide analytics and usage data.
