Transfer of Childrens Day Nursery
Transfer of Childrens Day Nursery Statements of interest are requested via The Chest from organisations who are interested in taking over the operation of a Children's Day Nursery that provides care for children from birth up to 5 years of age in the Clock Face area of St Helens.
Further Information The nursery was established in October 2004 and is located adjacent to a Children's Centre.
Although run as a private provision, the staffing and finance are currently overseen by the local authority.
Further broad facts relating to the business / proposed transfer include: The setting is not affiliated to a primary school and must therefore be registered with Ofsted; existing opening hours are from 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
The provision operates year round, with closures at bank holidays; it is envisaged that there will be no selling price for transfer of the business; current income is estimated to be in the region of £170k - £180k per annum; it is understood that the setting can accommodate, at any one time, 9 babies aged 0-2 years, 16 toddlers aged 2-3 years, and 16 pre-school children aged 3-5 years; the nursery is housed in a purpose-built, single storey wing of the main Children's Centre building with two main classrooms.
The facility has its own outdoor play area; there is a kitchen for the preparation of fresh food, and the nursery currently offers children a cooked lunch; accommodation will be provided at a pepper corn rent for the period of the initial lease (including existing furnishings and equipment) which will be excluded from business tenancy protection.
There would be a quarterly service charge to cover certain premises related costs such as gas, electricity, rates etc; the nursery was judged Good by Ofsted at its most recent inspection; and there is an existing team of suitably qualified staff.
