Market Engagement Event
The Biomass Suppliers List Are you interested in contributing to the UK government's net zero agenda?
The non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) helps businesses, public sector and non-profit organisations meet the cost of installing renewable heat technologies.
The Biomass Suppliers List consists of suppliers of solid biomass fuel (log, chip or pellet) who have demonstrated that the fuel they have listed on the BSL complies with the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) sustainability criteria.
It also includes self-suppliers of woody biomass.
The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) are looking to procure a concession contract for the role of the administrator to maintain the Biomass Suppliers List.
The role of the administrator is to maintain the List, by ensuring suppliers remain compliant, and removing non-compliant fuels.
The administrator will also carry routine and risk-based audits to premises where the woodfuel is manufactured.
The administrator will also be the secretariat to the BSL Advisory Panel.
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) is hosting a market engagement event for potential suppliers who may be interested in working with DESNZ via this concession contract and the role of administrator of the Biomass Suppliers List.
This will be an opportunity for interested suppliers to hear more about the contract and ask any questions.
