The brief

The 7 Force Procurement team is seeking a contractor to inspect and maintain fire doors across Kent Police sites, countywide.

Kent and Medway Towns Fire Authority also seeks a contractor for these services.

The purpose of this competition is to establish a contract (2 years initial term, plus two x one year extension options) with a single service provider in each of the 2 Lots (bidders may submit proposals for either Lot, or each Lot): Lot 1 Fire Doors - Kent Police Lot 2 Fire doors - Kent Fire The contracts shall be based on the NEC4 Term Short Service Contract (TSSC) terms and conditions as supplemented by the 7 Force Schedule of Amendments for NEC4, and shall be for a maximum duration of 4 years, made up of an initial term plus optional extensions.

The principal aim of the arrangements will be to enable provision of the services to the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner, and Kent and Medway Towns Fire Authority.

The estimated value range of the Lots is as follows: Lot 1 - £350,000 - £800,000 Lot 2 £200,000 - £400,000 The Authorities do not currently have contracts for these services, therefore these values are not based on true historical data.

The value ranges are estimates based on the number of doors and buildings.

The lower end of the range is estimated for the initial period, the upper range allows for the optional extension options and additional services.

These ranges should be used only as an indication of the potential requirement.
