The brief

Portsmouth City Council ('the council') is inviting quotations from suitably qualified suppliers to provide specialist consultancy with stakeholder organisations, support the evaluation of events and activities and to prepare a final report with recommendations.

The council has recently received an award from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to build resilience of the site.

The project funding will be spent on a programme of engagement activity on site designed to attract a broad audience that will raise awareness and understanding of the site, while also providing us with an opportunity to ask people what they would like to see and do at the museum and the site as a whole.

We need to build capacity through the involvement of volunteers and collaboration with partners to develop a more sustainable operating model based on existing good practice at other sites.

This project is a key first step in achieving this aim.

The budget available is £5,500 and will cover all costs such as personal fees, materials, meeting fees, hiring equipment, venue hire, travel and parking costs, public liability insurance and DBS checks.

The Authority is targeting to have awarded the contract by 8 June 2023.
