The brief

The Industrial Fuel Switching competition will support the development of fuel switching and fuel switch enabling technologies across a wide range of the UK's industrial sector, to enable industry to reach the UK's net zero target.

Phase 2 of the programme is open to all applicants, whether or not they have taken part in Phase 1 and will support the physical demonstration of the fuel switch or fuel switch enabling solution.

This includes engineering design, build, trial, decommissioning, market assessment, and knowledge dissemination.

Total funding value for Phase 2 is £49.4million.

The budget for each demonstration project will be between a typical minimum of £1 million and a fixed maximum of £6 million.

Funding for this SBRI Competition is divided into 3 lots: Hydrogen, Electrification and Biomass/Waste/Other
