Goalposts preferred suppliers list
The Football Foundation is establishing a preferred supplier list of goalpost providers for use by third parties.
Grants will be provided to third parties to purchase goalposts, and all funded goalposts must be procured exclusively from the preferred supplier list.
The purpose of this initiative is to ensure the safety and performance standards of football goalposts while maintaining compliance with the highest industry standards.
Goalpost manufacturers/distributors will be required to meet the following criteria in order to be considered as a preferred supplier: • Hold ISO 9001 certification (or in process of certification). • Ensure all goalposts conform to the latest versions of BSEN748 or BSEN16579, as applicable. • Provide evidence that each type of goalpost is certified by a UKAS-accredited laboratory specialising in goalposts, in line with UKAS ISO 17025 procedures.
The Football Foundation will not accept any testing from other sources The Football Foundation's grants must be used by those third parties to award contracts to a supplier on the supplier list.
Suppliers appointed to the supplier list to which this opportunity relates will therefore have the opportunity to bid for those contracts.
This notice refers to the supplier list only - Football Foundation will NOT be awarding any contracts directly to suppliers on the supplier list.
The preferred list of suppliers will be reviewed on regular basis with the first review after 12 months Contracts will cover the provision of the goalposts.
Contracts are expected to have a value in the region of £2000 - £4000 depending on the number/type of goalposts required.
However, all contracts will be subject to agreement and negotiation with the relevant third-party contracting parties.
Third parties which will award contracts may or may not be subject to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, and will carry out their own procurements.
Therefore for the avoidance of doubt, this opportunity is ONLY to join the supplier list created by the Football Foundation.
Football Foundation will NOT award any contracts directly and this opportunity does NOT relate to a contract award by the Football Foundation.
