NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (WY ICB) has accredited and awarded contracts for the AQP Consultant-Led Community Ophthalmology Services.

The service will be delivered to Leeds patients only and not across West Yorkshire.

The aims of the service are to provide a comprehensive Consultant-led Community Ophthalmology services and to provide a full local pathway for Leeds patients encompassing: - Clinical assessment and triage - Opinion and Advice for patients and referrers - Treatment and recovery where applicable - Discharge back to the appropriate level of care - Referral onwards only where appropriate The service will also: - Offer patients a choice of locations and appointment times, ensuring equitable, timely, and appropriate access. - Ensure that patients are seen and treated in a safe environment most appropriate to their care needs.

Provide best value for money, delivering effective and sustainable use of resources.
