The brief

This role is intended to provide support in the Strategy Hub on a targeted review of the sector's Asset Resilience.

Our draft discussion document indicated the need for a targeted review on asset health.

We have begun an initial review of 3 companies, with the intention of refining our approach and extending this to the sector late Autumn.

We are looking for someone to support analysis of asset information, and the shaping of next steps.

Due to the technical nature of the request, we expect the successful candidate to have extensive engineering and water industry experience, as well as a broader strategic understanding of resilience and regulation.

The candidate is expected to be able to get up to speed with Ofwat's current policy position and our emerging future position, and be able to recommend future actions related to operational resilience and asset health.

There will likely be additional tasks in relation to developing the strategy that will arise as the work progresses.

We expect the chosen candidate to be flexible in responding to the needs of the project.

Matched against the notice text, so this is a floor — the tender pack will demand things the notice never mentions. “Says must” means the quoted sentence itself used obligation language; anything ambiguous is left as a mention.
