The brief

Background: West London Waste Authority is a statutory waste disposal authority that was created in 1986.

We are responsible for disposing of waste collected by the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, and Richmond upon Thames.

About 1.7 million people live in this area, which covers 38,000 hectares.

This expression of interest (EoI) is for the collection, repair, and distribution back into the community of laptops, which have been disposed of at West London Waste Authority's (WLWA) managed / supported Household Reuse and Recycling Centres (HRRCs).

Financial / commercial considerations: It is estimated that there would be a total of circa 0.1 - 1 tonne of items per annum for collection across the three sites.

The resale price of the items in the contract is estimated to be circa £6,300 - £19,700 per annum.

There will be no payments made to the off-taker(s).

All associated costs (e.g., for collection vehicles, PAT testing, and resourcing) will be the responsibility of the contractor.
