The brief

Alternative Futures Group is looking for a contractor who will be their partner in excellence, providing a high-quality environment in which the Service Users at the Independent Hospitals can achieve their potential.

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering and cleaning services at all 6 hospitals that form part of Alternative Futures Group, providing a breakdown of cost for specific buildings: - Fir Trees, - Lea Court, - Meadow Park, - Mill Brook, - Oak Lodge, - Weaver Lodge.

The Contractor shall provide catering and cleaning services to the Treatment and Recovery Centres that clearly support Alternative Futures Group operations, meet the highest infection control standards and strongly align with the Group's values.

The contract will commence on 1.10.2019 for a period of three years, with an option to extend on a 1 + 1 basis.

The value of the contract is 2 000 000 GBP.

However, further services may be added to the contract as and when.

The successful Supplier will be expected to provide the catering and cleaning services within these additional sites using the same costing model, ratios, etc. that were applied to the successful bid at the point of tender submission.

The duration of contract for these sites will not be increased and they will join the contract for the remaining contract period that exists at the point of entry.

Investment is not actively sought, but may be required to enhance and further the service, should the bidder think it requires it.

We are seeking a suitably experienced Supplier who has current experience of working within the Care and NHS market place, ideally with a strong operational base within the North of England, thus allowing for responsive, contract support and management of catering staff.

The successful Supplier will be required to formally report each month on catering standard performance and operational matters, ensuring Alternative Futures Group is fully informed about all issues related to delivery of the catering and cleaning service.
