Bury Council are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provider for: The Inspection and Testing of Portable Electrical Appliances in Educational, Council Establishments and Arm's Length Management Organisations.
CURRENT PROVISION The current contract has been extended to the 28th February 2020, with no further provision to extend...The current contract has been running for just over 3-years with no significant problems.
See Appendix (2) for take-off volumes and data SCOPE Description of works The Contractor is to undertake work consisting of inspection, testing, labelling and reporting of portable electrical appliances as described below.
The Contractor will undertake either a formal visual inspection or a combined testing and inspection requirement using an approved test procedure.
Following successful inspection and/or testing, a label will be produced and affixed to the appliance.
Within two weeks after the test date, the Contractor is to provide a site specific Compliance Report pack.
All prices are to be fixed for the full duration of the contract, including any extension periods.
HOWEVER NO VOLUMES OR VALUES WILL BE GUARANTEED The council reserves the right to give 28 days' notice to terminate the contract and nominate an alternative supplier; however this would only occur, If the successful tenderer failed to meet our high standards.
If service levels dropped below agreed standards (e.g. persistent complaints regarding quality of goods, failure to deliver within agreed timescales etc.).
If we are no longer in a position to provide this service for Bury Council.
