The brief

Portsmouth City Council is inviting tenders from interested contractors on Lot 11 of the Hyde Building & Fire Safety Framework to undertake fire remediation works at Ladywood House (1-136), Southsea PO5 4JN The fire remediation project will be procured using a two-stage procurement process.

The initial stage will be governed by the JCT Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA), under which the successful contractor will work collaboratively with the client and design team to develop the design, programme, cost plan, Building Safety Regulator Application and any other activities required to progress to the construction phase.

Upon satisfactory completion of the pre-construction phase, and subject to agreement on key deliverables including cost, programme, and risk allocation, the contractor will be appointed under a JCT Design and Build Contract to deliver the construction phase of the project.

The estimated value of the works is in the region of £6,000,000.00, inclusive of all design works.

The timetable for this procurement is given below, although it is not the Council's intention to amend this, the Council reserves the right to make alterations where these are beyond the Council's control, in such situations all tenderers will be informed at the earliest opportunity.

Site Visit A Mandatory Site Visit will be held between 28/07/2025 and 08/08/2025.

It is mandatory for suppliers to attend the site visit prior to tender submission.

Interested Tenderers must confirm full names and positions of attendees via the InTend correspondence function 24 hours prior to time slot commencement.
