The Scheme is primarily aimed at 4-12 year olds, providing a service throughout all school holidays and half-term holidays 8:30am to 5pm.
It is not possible to accurately predict the potential demand for the scheme and the Authority does not guarantee take-up rates.
However, the maximum number of available places* is 90 per day (accommodation being the limiting factor) for each school holiday throughout the year (across the three sites) and on average there is 3,665 places* used per annum.
The three sites are: • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, 1 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0ET • Department of Work & Pensions, Caxton House, Tothill Street, LONDON, SW1H 9DA • HM Treasury, 1 Horse Guards Road, London, SW1A 2HQ The current split of 90 spaces per school holiday across the three sites is: • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: 42 • Department of Work & Pensions: 34 • HM Treasury: 24 * One Place is the provision of One Child for One day from 8:30am to 5pm.
This is a concession contract, BEIS and a few other eligible organisations currently subsidise the cost for employees but not all organisations follow this model.
