Morton Hall Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) is situated near Lincoln and opened as an IRC in May 2011 with an operational capacity of 392 male over 18 detainees.
The population of the IRC comprises of many diverse statuses from an immigration perspective, at varying stages of the Immigration, Asylum, Removal and Deportation Process.
