The brief

The academic provider will be invited to participate in the selection and assessment of prospective students, which will occur prior to the start of the course in the period February to August 2019.

The academic provider will also be required to lead an introductory day for the students prior to the start of the course in December 2019.

The course will run from January 2020 to March 2021.

During that period we anticipate the provider would meet on a regular basis with the partnership to discuss both strategic and practical aspects of the programme management.

The provider would work with the partnership on the provision of suitable placements and provide tutor support throughout the region to the Practice Educator and student whilst on placement.

The provider would be expected to supply regular updates on student progress and information as required by the partnership for reporting to the DfE.

The provider will include input from Service Users and Carers through the programme teaching and skills development.The provider would be expected to participate in any promotion of the course undertaken within the region, including possible open sessions for prospective students.
