Tender for The Removal of Asbestos Materials from Former F & L Smout Factory Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking to appoint a licensed asbestos removal contractor to undertake asbestos removal works from former F&L Smout Factory, Woods Lane, Cradley Heath B64 7AH.

The site comprises two separate buildings.

Both are single story brick buildings.

One is around 565m2, the other circa 1000m2.

The older building has asbestos contamination within the loft space and beneath the timber and solid floors.

The newer building mostly contains low risk asbestos items such as fuse tapes and gasket materials.

Both buildings are due for demolition post asbestos removal under a separate contract.

Scope of Contract is as follows: • Removal of known and presumed asbestos materials from both buildings to enable the remaining structures to be demolished. • Estimated duration 8 weeks commencing 30th October 2017 The Council will be using the In-tend e-Tendering System for this Procurement exercise, please visit https://in-tendhost.co.uk/sandwellmbc to access the Sandwell MBC In-tend Supplier Portal.
