The Rural West Sussex Partnership is an informal economic partnership between The South Downs National Park Authority, West Sussex County Council, Arun District Council, Chichester District Council, Horsham District Council and Mid-Sussex District Council.
Its primary role is to champion and support the rural economy across rural West Sussex.
Rural West Sussex Partnership (RWSP) identified the viticulture sector as a project topic for the 2022-2023 year.
In 2021 the South Downs National Park Authority Viticulture Growth Impact Assessment was produced which illustrated the rapid scale of growth of the viticulture sector in the National Park with a 90% increase in vineyard coverage in the South Downs National Park (SDNP) since 2016.
There are now approximately 65 vineyards across West Sussex.
Following the recently commissioned East Sussex Community Renewal Fund (CRF) viticulture project and the production of the Wine Tourism Investment Implementation Plan for Sussex 2022 to 2028 and accompanying Technical Report, RWSP wish to commission the production of both a Viticulture Economic Profile and a Viticulture Business Insight Report for West Sussex.
This project is to be a complementary study to the CRF funded research undertaken in East Sussex.
This invitation to quote is for both the profile and insight report, as detailed below.
