Project Description This is a partnership project between Natural England, the Environment Agency and Wessex Water the purpose of which is to: i. let and manage a contract to evaluate the delivery of the River Avon Restoration Plan (Phase 1: 2010-2015), both at the overall plan, and also at the project level, in meeting Water Framework Directive Protected Area objectives and Site of Special Scientific Interest favourable condition for morphology and natural hydrological processes. ii. ensure that the evaluation report outlines the areas where challenges have been identified and/or opportunities missed and to recommend better working practices that can be implemented in the next round of restoration projects (2018-2021).

Objectives of the Collaboration between the Parties The objectives of the collaboration between Natural England, the Environment Agency and Wessex Water, are set out below: To complete the following tasks: Task 1: Complete contract documentation to enable successful procurement and contract to be awarded to appropriate consultant.
Contract to be open tender and procured using DEFRA Bravo portal.
Task 2: Contract management (River Avon Restoration Project (RARP) Board identify and agree sites for project based assessment) Task 3: Contract management (consultant completes technical assessment of sites) Task 4: Contract management (consultant completes process evaluation) Task 5: Contract management (consultant circulates draft report for consultation) Task 6: Project completed (consultant completes final report
