Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of Health Education England has awarded a contract to a provider with the necessary experience and capability to deliver training for Trauma focused CBT for Refugees and Asylum seekers in line with the curriculum, for 136 IAPT High Intensity CBT therapists who are experienced and competent in the delivery of Trauma-Focused CBT.
The approved national curriculum for training includes: selection; teaching; supervision and assessment of competence; but does not include the provision of practice placements.
Training will include: 1.
An online directed self-study module 2.
A one-day, face-to-face overview workshop on TF-CBT and working with Refugees and Asylum Seekers 3.
A three-day training in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) Supervision can be provided remotely via Skype or similar.
To be delivered in six, monthly telephone/video group sessions with the trainers.
The training needs to be available across England.
However the Home Office have identified areas of higher volume that is based upon their data on resettled refugees in England under the Vulnerable People's Resettlement Scheme.
These are: • Ashford, Kent • Birmingham • Bradford • Bristol • County Durham • Coventry • East Riding • Gateshead • Halton • Hartlepool • Kingston Upon Hull • Leeds • Leicester • Liverpool • London • Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Training is to commence by 31st March 2020 and to conclude by 31st March 2021.
Maximum price is £1,250.00 per trainee.
