The brief

2068/387/EML/COM/18 3D Scanning Solution The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a 3D Scanning Solution on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Composites Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

Scope of Requirement The AMRC with Boeing, Composites Centre is looking for a 3D scanning solution to allow use to scan many different surface types and qualities including carbon fibre and high density foam.

The parts that will be scanned will range from 0.01m*0.01m*0.01m to 5m*2m*2m.

The solution should also be able to link to a recognised external CAD package through software provided within the solution.

The solution also needs to have to ability to adaptively control and change and update machining programs to allow true dimensional accurate parts to be made.
