The brief

Plymouth City Council is planning to undertake the refurbishment of one of the City's Historic buildings.

The building in question is the Elizabethan House (New Street, Plymouth, PL1 2 NA) and the project will require the expertise of an Accredited Conservation Architect.

The Elizabethan House is:  Grade II* listed building owned by Plymouth City Council;  Dates from the late 16th / early 17th Century;  One of the most complete and unaltered example of a jettied merchant's house in Plymouth; PCC would like to hear from Accredited Conservation Architect with relevant experience of working with historic timber framed houses.

A Request for Quotation (RFQ) exercise will follow and once appointed, the Conservation Architect will be required to assess the current condition, draw up and deliver a schedule of work for the refurbishment.

Work will need to be completed by 2020.

Value for services shown are estimates and subject to change.

Plymouth City Council anticipate that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) exercise will commence by September 2017.

Expressions of Interests are sought by Friday 11 August 2017.
