The brief

Newark and Sherwood District Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to carry out construction work to the changing rooms of its leisure centre in Southwell.

The project involves minor refurbishment works including, flooring, joinery, tiling, plumbing, suspended ceiling and electrical works.

The refurbishment works are to commence on Monday 9th May 2016 and must be completed by Friday 1st July 2016.

The works are notifiable under CDM 2015 and the successful contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the regulations are met.

The refurbishment works will be carried out over 4 separate phases; this is to enable at least two changing rooms to remain open throughout the works.

At least one of the phases will require out of hours working.

Tender submissions for the project are to be submitted based on the terms and conditions set out in the documentation provided.

Contractors are expected to be members of Constructionline and submit evidence of carrying out similar projects for Local Authorities.
