The aim of the research is to build the evidence base on the existing non-domestic building stock (above 1,000 m2).
This will give the BEIS team a better understanding of metering in the non-domestic building stock and help inform the development of the scheme.
This research will also be of interest to other non-domestic energy policies such as PRS MEES1 (minimum standards for energy efficiency in the private rented sector), SBEES2 (the Small Business Energy Efficiency Scheme) and ESOS3 (Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme).
