The Council wishes to procure services relating to the collection and the appropriate disposal of clinical waste including sharps, infectious and in some cases offensive waste from residents using sacks, boxes and bins as approved by the council's Representative.
The collections will generally be from domestic properties including sheltered housing and residential homes.
The primary focus of the contract is to provide a quality service for Walsall residents that can be relied on.
The contract will commence on 1 July 2022 for an initial three year period, with options to extend the contract for two 12 month periods until 30 June 2027.
The Council is looking to appoint one supplier for this Contract.
The procurement process being used is the Open Procedure.
This process is being advertised in the Find a Tender Service and will be completed in compliance with The Public Contract Regulations 2015 with reference to The Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020.
The tender submission deadline for this project is 12:00 midday on Thursday 12th May 2022.
The Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 will apply to this procurement.
All bidders will be asked to respond to the non-price criteria question set out in ITT Section C.
