Palliative Care Framework for NHS England - Market Engagement Event
Arden & GEM CSU, acting on behalf of NHS England (Health and Justice, North Midlands), invites suitably qualified and experienced providers to attend the Market Engagement Event and advise bidders of the forthcoming procurement.
NHS England is seeking providers to become approved on a Framework Agreement for the provision of Specialist In- Reach Palliative Care in prisons within the regions of Staffordshire,Worcestershire and Wolverhampton.
These will be grouped into 2 lots, Direct Care (Clinical Leadership, Complex Care Management) and Indirect Care (Advice, Education and Training).
The contract period will be from 1st February 2019 to 31st January 2023.
The estimated total contract value is approximately £200,000 per annum.
A Market Engagement Event is to take place on Tuesday 11th September 2018.

The intention is to establish a Framework Agreement for NHS England regions to perform 'call- off for the delivery of Direct Care to include Clinical Leadership, Complex Care Management.
The aims of the service will be: • Provide specialist in-reach palliative care services for prisons and give Clinical leadership • Deliver care directly to individual patients with the most complex needs • Provide brief advice to prisoners Secondly to establish a Framework Agreement for NHS England regions to perform 'call- off' for the delivery of Indirect Care to include advice, education and training.
The aims of the service will be: • Deliver care indirectly providing clinical support, advice and education to other professionals to deliver core level palliative and end of life care. • Provide care and ensure that services within the prison operate within the Gold Standards Framework •Provide clinical advice/expertise for Death in Custody Reviews
