High voltage High power Gri-tied DC Bi-Directional Power supply System
High voltage high power grid-tied bi-directional power supply which is fully flexible to operate with high dynamics between four operating quadrants of the electrical machine developed.
The flexibility of modules will allow us to operate the power system we are developing, with both series and parallel configuration, in safety when working in both motoring and generating mode, without the need of any other additional component (as resistive load banks, switches, uni-directional power modules).
The ratings we need are up to a power of 256kW and a voltage of 2kV.
The above will determine our capability of testing platform with the 4 MegaWatt generator/demonstrator UoN is designing for research.
