A focused piece of work was completed in late 2022/23 to undertake Clinical Annual Care Reviews which is a requirement under the NHS National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and Funded Nursing Care (FNC) (July 2022), to provide assurance that individuals in receipt of CHC funding have the correct package of care in place to meet their assessed needs.
This is a statutory obligation of the ICB under the Standing Rules/Regulations (2012).
As a result of a large number of reviews completed in a condensed period of time, the business as usual (BAU) team has not able to complete the reviews in a timely manner and therefore a further backlog has developed.
The route to market will be by further competition via the SCW CSU Consultancy Services DPS 2.0
