Finance Business System
The purpose of this RFI is to invite software providers and/or system integrators to describe their capabilities and the suitability of their products and services against the British Library’s outline requirements for a replacement Finance Business System.
The British Library is seeking to replace its corporate Finance Business System with a simplified, standardised and adaptable system that will support and enable transformational change.
It also seeks to understand its options regarding purchase, implementation and support of a replacement system and assess the relative merits of on premise, cloud based and hybrid solutions.
The British Library views this RFI process as one potential route to inform the future procurement of the goods and services described.
The information gathered under this RFI may be used to evaluate potential suppliers and service offers and produce a shortlist for further interaction.
At this stage, no final decision has been taken on the precise procurement route to be followed.
When submitting information, all organisations should note that this is not currently a tender opportunity but is part of a market consultation exercise aiming to ensure that the procurement route selected and the options ultimately developed for any procurement are properly informed and aligned with the supply market.
A Supplier Conference will be held at the British Library’s premises in St Pancras, London on Tuesday 11th October.
The conference will provide an opportunity for interested suppliers to meet the Library’s project and technical staff responsible for delivering the replacement solution and ask questions on our outline requirements and vision for the project.
See the RFI Brief for details.
If you are interested in participating in this RFI exercise please go to the British Library’s e-tendering portal at https://bl.bravosolution.co.uk, click on ‘Opportunity Listings’ and follow the on screen instructions in regards to registration and downloading the RFI documents.
