North Yorkshire County Council ('the Council') wishes to commission a managed service provider to a) support older people in North Yorkshire to access existing physical activity opportunities, b) provide new physical activity opportunities where there are gaps in provision and c) oversee the delivery of tailored exercise and physical activity programmes targeted at adults aged 65 and over at risk of falling across North Yorkshire.
The purpose of the programmes are to increase physically activity levels and reduce falls for older people in North Yorkshire.
It is expected that the sessions will also contribute to the reduction of loneliness and improve mental wellbeing of older people accessing these programmes.
