The brief

This investigation will comprise 15 machine excavated trial pits to a depth of 4m BGL, five window sample boreholes to a depth of 6m BGL and five cable percussive boreholes to a depth of 15m BGL, three of which will be extended to a depth of 30m BGL with rotary follow-on drilling.

The exploratory holes will also allow for installation of groundwater monitoring standpipes, infiltration testing and testing to determine Calfornia Bearing Ratio (CBR) values of the strata encountered.

The works include associated geotechnical and geo-environmental laboratory testing and reporting.

In addition, a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey, in accordance with PAS 128:2014, will be required to identify and verify underground service locations.
