The brief

The University of Salford (the University) is seeking tenders for the preparation of a 5 year Energy, Water and Carbon Management Plan (the Plan) in line with ISO50001 requirements.

Simultaneously the University is seeking to establish an Energy Partner to provide energy and sustainability management support over a 5 year period.

The University has a highly experienced Environmental Sustainability and Energy Team with over 30 years of energy and sustainability management experience.

However, the team is small and additional capacity in the form of an energy partner is required to undertake various tasks such as feasibility studies, technical appraisals and energy surveys to support objectives, manage the risk of increasing energy costs and support its journey towards EcoCampus Platinum/ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 accreditation.

The University is also seeking innovative partnering to deliver its Industry Collaboration Zone Strategy to enable real world experience for its student population through our teaching and learning.

Tenderers should familiarise themselves with this strategy and consider what synergetic opportunities an energy partner arrangement with the University of Salford could bring.

The energy partner will work closely with and under the direction of the Environmental Sustainability Team.
