The brief

CBH are inviting bids to supply CBH with the implementation and support of a Microsoft Azure cloud solution to host CBH's core operating applications over the next three years (potential to extend for a further two years).

CBH require the winning bidder to design, implement and then support a Microsoft Azure platform with the following associated elements: o Hosted Domain management o Application server hosting o Application client delivery o File and document storage o Security and identity management o End user device build and configuration o Backup and disaster recovery configuration o Microsoft Office 365 implementation o Infrastructure Support Services CBH has undertaken investigations into the most fit for purpose cloud infrastructure: it has been determined that Microsoft Azure services are the most appropriate for CBH.

CBH requires the winning bidder to assist it in designing its new IT infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure services, a migration plan (tasks, resources, timescales) for CBH to move from its current infrastructure to this new infrastructure and support through this migration process.

These aspects should therefore be clearly set out in bidders' tender responses.

The Azure region must be North Europe or West Europe; UK regions can be submitted for price comparison.

CBH's detailed requirements are shown in Appendix A.

These requirements have been captured through discussion with staff and in consultation with an independent IT consultancy as part of CBH's market engagement.

The requirements are written in business language and have been categorised as either essential or desirable.

Bidder responses must demonstrate how all essential requirements are met in the suggested solution and should identify any additional functionality and where this covers desirable requirements.
