The brief

Analysis, interrogation and reporting of casualty collision data on the SRN.

This programme requires analysis, interrogation, interpretation and reporting of casualty collision data on the SRN.

Both National Highway's Strategic Business Plan and Road Investment Strategy outline the future direction of the SRN.

In relation to safety, this includes the reduction of KSI casualties and the delivery and integration of National and Regional Incident Casualty Reduction plans.

This will contribute to the maximum reduction in KSIs.

The Smart Motorway objectives are to undertake progress report analysis viewing the safety of all three smart motorway types, conventional motorways, and A-roads.

This will provide the business with insights and evidence on which National Highways Executive team, Board and DfT can rely upon to make decisions and investments on the strategic road network.

The analysis will help provide the latest safety update on smart motorways and help inform decision making on the future of smart motorways.

Additionally, over time this is expected to increase transparency on safety data reporting and assess the impact of safety interventions.
