1.2 kW XAFS Spectrometer
The University is looking to establish a facility for use by internal and external users (both academic and industrial) for X-ray absorption spectroscopy, with a specific focus on catalysis and energy materials.
We are looking to purchase a lab based Rowland-circle spectrometer system for transmission-mode XAFS operations at 5 - 12 keV, with a minimum 1.2 kW x-ray tube source, and evidence of being able to perform XANES and EXAFS in academic use case application such as energy materials (batteries) and heterogeneous catalysis, including appropriate power supplies, analysers (spherically bent crystals) and detectors (SSD type).
The instrument is to be housed in facility including equipment for catalysis studies and energy materials applications.
