CP1604-18 Digital Platform
This is a large award for IT Services — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
Devon County Council (DCC) aspires to deliver high quality digital services to users that exceed expectation.
To support this ambition, DCC wish to take advantage of the added simplicity, speed and functionality offered by the latest application infrastructure technologies to develop better services for both citizens, staff and partners that have become commonplace in the internet enabled world.
Specifically, we believe that a properly configured, highly functional and well-integrated 'low-code' development platform will permit much faster delivery of new services by a wider range of staff.
By enabling the integration of various third party and legacy systems, together with any new capabilities that are required, we wish to provide an environment that allows us to re-design, transform and deliver existing and new services.
This will allow us to not only deliver better services in the way that users want them, but to deliver strategic benefits such as more efficient delivery of services, reduced demand, better data on processes and the opportunity to innovate.
We recognise that a significant demand reaches the council via phone, email and other channels that we think could be reduced considerably through the introduction of well-designed, end-to-end, digital services.
The initial contract term 3 years with an optional 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 year extensions to a maximum of 10 (ten) years, at the sole discretion of DCC
