The brief

The Northamptonshire Disabled Facilities Grant Register of Contractors (NDFGRC) scheme is made up of Corby Borough Council, Daventry District Council, East Northamptonshire Council, Kettering Borough Council, Northampton Borough Council, Borough of Wellingborough Council and South Northants Council.

The NDFGRC are currently reviewing the options for how it will develop and utilise an electronic Register of Contractors to provide repairs and adaptions across the county. (Currently this is recorded on a spreadsheet).

From January 2019 it is envisaged that the county will have an electronic system to create and manage a list of contractors that can provide services to deliver repairs and adaptations to residents across the county of Northamptonshire.

The system must provide all the verification and administration of the contractors standing including but not exhaustively; health & safety, insurances, business and professional standard, equal opportunities, environmental management and quality management.

The system must provide search facilities via contractor categories and areas of works.

The system will keep all relevant information up to date and timely and be able to generate on-line quotes which are secure and transparent.

The successful supplier will be selected May 2018 and the system commence on 1st January 2019.
