NHS Rotherham CCG : Social Prescribing Service
NHS RotherhamCCG is seeking to appoint a single provider for the provision of a Social Prescribing service as outlined below.
The service is required to be based in a community setting in Rotherham.
Social prescribing is a catch-all term for non-medical services that aim to prevent worsening health for people with long-term health conditions.
In recent years locality-based social prescribing services have increasingly been developed by health and social care commissioners to provide a mechanism for linking patients in primary care with sources of social, therapeutic and practical support in the voluntary and community sector.
Social prescribing is being promoted by the Department of Health and NHS England as a vital component in the transformation and integration of health and social care." Third sector providers can complement the services that people with LTCs and Mental Health issues already receive from the NHS.
Third sector organisations provide flexible, locally appropriate services that help individuals with various aspects of their self-management.
Different people will have different needs.
RCCG is seeking to appoint a single provider for this Service, the envisaged start day is to be April 1st 2019.
The contract will be for 3 years with an option to extend for 2 years, subject to agreement by both parties.
The contract mechanism in the form of block contract There is an anticipated contract value range of £760,000 per annum.
The purpose of this PIN is to identify any organisations interested in providing this Service to engage with the CCG.
The CCG would like potential providers to express an interest by submitting a detailed written overview of the Service they can provide which meets the objectives outlined in this briefing.
The CCG are not liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in this PIN or, for any future tendering activity.
Please submit your expressions of interest in a written document, maximum of 1,500 words.
Please send your submission through the NHS Sourcing portal by the deadline of noon on the 18th October 2018.
The information you provide to NHS Rotherham CCG will be to assess interest in the market.
Dependent upon the response to this PIN the authority will determine if this requirement will form the basis of a competitive procurement process.
If a competitive procurement is to take place the authority will inform those organisations who have registered an interest as described above with more information.
The information to be provided by RCCG will include, but not be limited to the type of procurement process, the timescales, and the evaluation criteria for any future procurement process.
