This sits in the upper-middle of the Software & IT Systems band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 30,286 valued Software & IT Systems tenders in our corpus.

The brief

A contract to secure the future provision of self-service issues, returns, renewals and payments over a new multi-year arrangement.

We are seeking proposals to replace current equipment and to provide support for the refreshed estate.

The initial contract period is to be two years with options to make two further annual extensions.

The initial purchase will comprise 52 units to be located as shown in appendix A.

A further two units are anticipated to be required in 'mid 2018' due to the refurbishment of Milton Road library, with further procurements to be decided at a later date.

Cambridge has one of the fastest growing populations in the country and over the course of the next four years Cambridgeshire is likely to grow the library estate significantly as new settlements come on-stream.

It is therefore important that the authority should be able to retain any negotiated discounted rates and to apply these to any future purchases that are made during the life of the contract.

Matched against the notice text, so this is a floor — the tender pack will demand things the notice never mentions. “Says must” means the quoted sentence itself used obligation language; anything ambiguous is left as a mention.
