Forest School Programme Along the Tyne Derwent Way
This sits in the lower-middle of the Education & Training band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 23,516 valued Education & Training tenders in our corpus.
Gateshead Council, on behalf of the Gateshead Riverside Partnership, which comprises Gateshead Council, Tyne and Wear Building Preservation Trust, National Trust, Newcastle University and Northumbria University have appointed a Forest School provider to deliver a programme of Forest School along the Tyne Derwent Way, with a specific focus on Gateshead Riverside Park.
The Tyne Derwent Way (see attached plan) is a blue green corridor which stretches from Gateshead Town Centre to Gibside (National Trust).
The project is supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The ambitious project will see local people working to create a thriving outdoor space for themselves and future generations to enjoy.
Communities will be actively involved in producing what's on offer along the banks of the Rivers Tyne and Derwent.
Together we will create sustainable spaces that work for everyone to discover and enjoy the local history, art and nature through volunteering, heritage, cultural and sporting activities.
