The brief

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for a number of the schools within the Exceed Academies Trust (the Client) at Copthorne Primary School (BD7 3AY), Horton Park Primary School (BD5 9LQ), Harden Primary School (BD16 1LJ) and Holybrook Primary School (BD10 0EF).

Exceed Academies Trust run Primary and Secondary schools that welcome students of all faiths and backgrounds.

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for a number of the schools within the Exceed Academies Trust (the Client) at Copthorne Primary School (BD7 3AY), Horton Park Primary School (BD5 9LQ), Harden Primary School (BD16 1LJ) and Holybrook Primary School (BD10 0EF).

Halal certified (Halal Monitoring Committee) meat is required to be served at 2 of the sites.

The Client is looking for a supplier who will be their partner within a vibrant competitive market.

The catering service is currently managed in-house at Copthorne and Horton Park and by Bradford City Council at Holybrook and Harden.

Any supplier wishing to be considered for this contract must be able to demonstrate experience and depth of knowledge in the management and handling of TUPE issues.

The contract will commence on 19.2.2019 for a period of 3 years, with an option to extend on a 1 + 1 basis.

The value of the contract is 900 000 GBP.

However, further Secondary and Primary schools may be added to the contract as and when they join the Trust and their contracts are ready for renewal.

The successful supplier will be expected to provide the catering services within these additional schools using the same costing model, ratios, etc that were applied to the successful bid at the point of tender submission.

The duration of contract for these schools will not be increased and they will join the contract for the remaining contract period that exists at the point of entry into the Trust contract.

Investment is not actively sought, but may be required to enhance and further the service, should the bidder think it requires it.

We are seeking a suitably experienced Supplier who has current experience of working within the Primary and Secondary school market place, ideally with a strong operational base within the North of England, thus allowing for responsive, contract support and management of catering staff. (Further information is provided in the SQ documentation.)
