The Borough Council of Calderdale invites you to submit a Quotation for the refurbishment of the Pool plant at Halifax Swimming Pool, Halifax, HX1 2JN.
The aim and purpose of the work is to refurbish current pool plant and equipment to ensure the Pool remains operational for the next 5-10 years or until a new facility is built.
The existing building is currently occupied and the pool fully utilised.
The condition of several elements of plant have now reached a critical point where interim solutions are no longer possible, therefore to keep the pool operational for a minimum period of 5 years refurbishment works are required to the existing pool plant.
The scope of the works consists of the refurbishment of strainer equipment and an option to replace the current pool calorifier with a modern plate heat exchanger.
The contractor is to employ only qualified and competent trade's personnel to deliver the project to the highest possible standards.
Attention should be paid to current British and European Standards for all equipment and workmanship.
The project is to be delivered in accordance with the supplied specification / scope of works.
Important Information: As these works are urgent, the closing date for submissions is; 12 Noon, Friday 13th November 15.
The Contractor must arrange to visit the site prior to submitting its Quotation in order to obtain the information they may consider necessary to prepare the Quotation, in our opinion the Contractor will not be able to price for this contract without a site visit.
