PQ0467 - Transport Evidence Base for the Birmingham Local Plan - Transport Assessment
The Council requires a supplier for the provision of transport evidence base for the Birmingham Local Plan - Transport Assessment.
This contract will be for a period of up to 9 months aiming to commence week of 16th October 2023.
Birmingham City Council is undertaking an update of the Birmingham Development Plan (BDP) which was adopted in January 2017.
The Birmingham Local Plan (BLP), as it is now to be known, will be the statutory planning framework for the whole city and will guide planning decisions on all development and regeneration activity up to 2042.
It will set out how, where and how many new homes, jobs, services and infrastructure will be delivered and the type of places and environment that will be created.
This will be a period of significant change for Birmingham, with the city aiming to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030, or as soon as possible thereafter a just transition allows.
To help inform and evidence the BLP, the Council is seeking consultancy support to establish the transport evidence base and understand the impact of the new development proposed in the BLP.
The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
